AIR CONDITIONING - SERVICES

Did you know your air conditioning loses charge every year, making it less efficient and making your car warmer? Our air conditioning services keep your air con working properly by checking and topping up the refrigerant levels. This also involves cleansing the air circulation system to maintain icy cold air output and get rid of any nasty odours – and the harmful bacteria that cause them.

HOW DO I KNOW WHICH AIR CON - GAS I REQUIRE?

R134A gas is common in vehicles manufactured before 2014. All vehicles with air conditioning manufactured since 1st January 2017 include the new R1234YF air con gas which is more environmentally friendly.

Since this date, manufacturers are no longer allowed to use the older R134A air con gas in a bid to reduce global warming as the old gas is believed to be more damaging to the environment. R1234YF gas was phased in by vehicle manufacturers over time so vehicles rolling off the production line between 2014 and 2016 could require either gas.

To find out which type of air conditioning gas your car needs and to start a booking to have your air con gas recharged, please call Enz-Autos for more information.

If your cabin area is not cool enough or the air conditioning system is struggling to clear/demist your windscreen, then it’s time to get your car or van air conditioning system checked over by Enz-Autos.

Vehicle manufacturers typically recommend drivers get their car and van air conditioning systems (and refrigerant gas levels in the system) checked after the vehicle is two years old, then annually thereafter. This is to ensure maximum system operating efficiency, as the system loses refrigerant naturally over time.

WHATS INCLUDED?

The Air Con Re-Gas includes:

Air con refrigerant recharge to manufacturers’ recommended levels

  Replenishment of system oil

Thorough checks for leaks, performance and temperature

Evacuation of moisture and air from the system, plus refrigerant recovery

If, during the re-gas, a system fault is identified, our technician will provide full details of the recommended work before any repairs are carried out.
